Verify that the following software is installed. (See HOWTO: Install Software Using Synaptic.)

• pdftk
• qpdf
• texlive-extra-utils
• (OPTIONAL) openjdk-17-jdk (Java development kit, only if you are going to be modifying the code)

If you do not already have the software, download it HERE or request it from the director of IDTM.

1. Unpack the .zip file of IDTM Imposer into the folder /home/USERNAME/.bin (replace USERNAME with your username)
2. Create an icon
   • Right-click on the main menu icon (lower-left of the screen) –> Configure –> Menu –> Open Menu Editor
   • Click on “Other” category, then New Element
     • Insert the name
     • Command (It is easiest to browse to the .sh file):

        /home/YOUR-USERNAME/.bin/IDTM-Imposer01/IDTMImposer.sh 

   • Select Icon
   • Click OK
3. Drag the icon from the main menu –> Other to the panel bar at the bottom of the screen to create a shortcut

If IDTM Imposer is updated to add new features or to fix bugs, you can install the new version by following the INSTALL procedure above.

If the version number is different, it will install the new version alongside your old version. Remember to update your launcher using the menu editor to update the new path.
