===== Introduction =====

It is important that each computer uses the same collection of fonts. If you design a document on one computer where certain fonts are installed, and then you try to edit it or export it to a pdf on another computer where those fonts are missing, the formatting will be messed up.

IDTM has a standard collection of fonts stored in the Resources folder on the server. Here are a few suggestions of fonts that work well for most local languages: [[en:resources:fonts|Font Resources]]

==== Installing Fonts ====

Installing fonts is incredibly simple.

  - Select, then copy (CTRL +C) the fonts that you want.
  - Paste (CTRL + V) into the ''%%.fonts%%'' folder in your home directory (for example: ''%%/home/idtm/.fonts%%''
  - If you have software open (like LibreOffice Writer), close all windows and re-open, and the fonts should be available in the list.
