====== Design: Images ====== ===== Resolution ===== Be sure to scale images down to an appropriate dimension and resolution for the task at hand. Some tracts may be distributed by social media, and if they are very heavy, it wastes phone credit. Unnecessarily large images also waste storage space on the server, and can make the printing process take longer. Use 150–300 DPI for print. Avoid higher resolutions. Export to JPEG (for photos) or PNG (for graphics) — no BMP or TIFF. Crop images to their visible areas before embedding in documents. Avoid reusing images copied from Word or screenshots — they are often low-quality or oversized.
