+"A picture is worth a thousand words." This saying means that a lot of information is easily conveyed in a picture. When considering an illustration, ask what information does it contain? If I were to describe the picture in words, would it be telling the truth?
+  * Example 1a: The common cartoon of Noah's ark-- Noah's ark was a tiny boat that looks like a toy. Two oars are sticking out of the boat, so Noah's family can row the boat to shore. The giraffes, monkeys, and dogs peek out the windows of the ark, or stand on its upper deck. Not many animals or people would fit inside.
